Tuesday

Sweet showers at sunrise and more expected throughout the day. We build our day around the Farmers Market and yoga in the evening.
After breakfast of brown rice, cinnamon and bananas we drive to Kapaa. Due to surveyors it takes a while! We saunter to the beach to check out the waters, so many drownings in the past month! And find a table at the Olympic Cafe, overlooking this not so sleepy town!
My kauai wrap at half the expected portion is still yummy: sprouts, spinach, tomato, pineapple, grated carrot and cheese in a spinach tortilla with a side of papaya. ( this vegan ate the cheese!) Dan tried the hamburger and fries!
We crossed the street to the bath shop to buy some scented sea salts; coconut lime verbena and a gingered hibiscus, to sweeten the Feet I care for:)
Driving West to the market we make a list. Greens, apple bananas, beets, lilikoi goats cheese, and a pineapple! It is still sprinkling, so a walk on the beach is ruled out, everyone is at the Hanalei Schoolhouse shopping and it!s a mad house! Rain is why we love this Northshore retreat;)
I try on that yellow bikini in the basket and it is CUTE. But now at $87.00!
I am easing my 'Eat for Life plan to include a bit of nutrient dense animal to ensure Dan is happy too. We choose a spicy ahi wrapped sushi roll for dinner.
My very favorite yoga class runs from 5:30-7:00, so a simple dinner is planned.
Bhavani is due to deliver her baby Nico soon and Nick is teaching Relax Deeply.
In a side laying twist i weep softly remembering Mirage's favorite pose:)
Dan picks me up and we eat in front of the TV because it's cool outside. He is sullen.
I pledge not to take a class that interferes with dinner again.
Nanaste!

  1. Dan H. tells me it is raining in Vancouver, USA also. He had to rescue Jordan from the Mercedes which broke down on 164th Ave. Dad
