Paradise Bound

An early start at 3:45, especially for Dan on two hours of sleep. Coffee People to the rescue! And their Bilberry Wonder muffin.
A short hop to SFO, and a bumpy four and a half hour flight to Lihue. The movie made it tolerable for me; the Trouble with the Curve! Oh and Dan's foresight to bring a Julianos Pizza. There was beverage service just before we landed. The attendant actually crawled down the aisle pushing the beverage cart ahead. I appreciated the chilled cabernet.
We landed and briefly searched for Ed and Marilyin at the airport.
Avis provided us with a gray Ford and we sped North past deserted golf course and beaches!
Well i wouldn't expect Everyone on Kauai to be c watching the Super Bowl!
We joined them for the second half as we were check into our 6102 early;) a welcome home gift awaited us! Scoth, red wines and cigars, all the vices we left behind:)
Grocery shopping took all the energy and focus remaining! $112.00 to kickstart our week. We'll get to the Farmers Market in Waipa on Tuesday.
My goal to eat plant based and nutrient dense resulted in a luscious salad, Dan added a huli huli roasted chicken. We ate outdoors in the coolish Evening air.
After a bit of HGTV hawaiian style, it was off to bed at 8:00.
A twenty hour day ends, we rest in the primal comforts of our island retreat.
